Membership
New members can join at any time of the year.
The benefits of membership:
- Members receive newsletters, giving details of forthcoming meetings, and information
on other local history events in the area. The newsletter, called The Gate is
published several times a year.
- Members receive a Free copy of the society's journal, called Markyate's Past.
This is published once a year, in the January to March period.
- Visits to record offices, museums and local houses.
- Talks and Slide-slows by local speakers.
- Members of the society can offer advice on research, and on the collecting and preservation of
historical objects.
